3FStech AIM

Extensive biomechanical studies on cycling show, among other things, that the length and the angle of the stem of the bike, and consequently the rider’s position, directly impacts performance.
For mountain biking, where the land is unpredictable and sometimes the efficacy of bikers depends more on their technical prowess than the biomechanical performance, currently there is no exact way to determine the optimal length and angulation of the stem for all terrains.

This is the reason behind the idea of 3FStech AIM. It is a new concept of stem for mountain bikes that allows the rider to adjust these two parameters depending on the type of land at all times and without having to stop riding.

Component description

The 3Stech AIM has three different positions to optimize the effect of this component at all times along the route.

At its longest position provides 120mm length stem with an angle of -20 degrees. This position is the most similar to the one adopted in the road bike, when the cyclist needs to take full advantage of the speed and pedaling cadence while maintaining the maximum aerodynamic position possible.

The shortest position provides 55mm length stem with an angle of + 6 °. The position of the rider in this configuration is the most similar to the one adopted in downhill bikes. The short stem provides a more reactive steering that improves the handling of the bike. And, at the same time, it allows the rider to shift the center of gravity in a low and rearmost position, gaining stability and safety when the terrain has steep negative slopes.

Besides these two most radical positions, the 3FSteh AIM has a position of 95mm length and an angle of -7 degrees for intermediate terrain conditions.

WHY USE 3FSTECH AIM?

MORE VERSATIL
Every bike becomes more versatile with the AIM stem.
With its 3 positions it changes the ergonomics of the bike from the most aggressive pedaling position to the better position to go down.

MORE PERFORMANCE

The AIM stem optimizes the performance of biker in each terrain.
In the steepest trails, where is important to shift the center of gravity to a low and advanced position, in the flat zones, where the biker have to pedal in a high cadence while maintaining the maximum aerodynamic position possible and in downhill trails where biker needs are to have more agility and shift the center of gravity to a low and rearmost position.

MORE COMFORT

The AIM stem is very important too at the high distance MTB routes.
In these cases, it provides the rider the possibility of change his position improving his comfort and consequently his performance when he has to ride for a long time.

COMPONENT OPERATION

The component features a remote control to be attached to the handlebars and it can be unlocked to change the position. Once unlocked, the rider can switch to the desired position with the strenght of their arms on the handlebars. Thus, the rider can do this step without stopping or releasing the handlebars.
